I absolutely love coming to this salon. I have always had a hard time trusing hair stylists with my hair but ever since I found Tanner Stevens I am absolutely in love with how he does my hair. Tanner is so smart and does everything I want to a T! I am a police officer so doing my hair for work is stuck to really 2 hair styles but with tanners magic I am able to do so much more. The salon is nice and cozy. It is very clean and the other employees are so awesome to talk to. I would recommend this salon to everyone I know and beyond!

Leticia stole $112.50 out of my personal checking account without my knowledge when no services were rendered. I went to have my extensions removed and she told me she is no longer offering the extensions she was a week ago, during my first $25 consultation which she never took the time to look at my hair, although she said she would. When I asked for the pricing on the new extensions she stated I need to make another consultation appt. Why? I'm sitting in your chair right now and going to pay you $75 an hour to remove these extensions, plus pay for any additional color and trim. I explained how I didn't understand why she would offer the old extensions last week but now my only choice is the new more expensive "way more expensive" her words, not mine. She did not like my line of questioning and raised her voice, thinking maybe I'd back down, I didn't and attempted to explain my perspective. She got frustrated and announced out loud in front of the entire shop, "Fine, I'll show you" and stormed into the back. I apologized to the shop and no one looked up just kept their heads down. She returned with a price sheet and a binder and said, "See, it's complicated, you have to pick hair color, length, etc." I asked why didn't we go over this is my first consultation? She then loudly stated she didn't know she'd be using this product exclusively. Well, that's not my fault. So I calmly told her I'm done and I'd like to leave. She seemed shocked, but I told her I just don't want to do this with her and the entire shop was embarrassed. She yells that's just how she is and no one is embarrassed or uncomfortable. Still, no one looked up. I told her I was leaving. I got up, apologized to Jen who also works there and left. Later that evening I checked my bank account and noticed Leticia charged me $112.50. I never signed ANYTHING giving her permission to steal money from me! She entered my debit card info into her system from my first consultation and just helped herself to my money! She removed maybe 5 individual extensions which took all of 2 minutes. I'm calling the police, I already called my bank and will sue her. Nowhere, did I sign a contract, a receipt, any kind of acknowledgment she has permission to steal or file my bank information! What she did is ILLEGAL!

i have known Leticia Ortiz, owner of Hair Safari, and have had the true honor of being her business associate and friend for five years now. Day in and day out through boom and bust we have worked side by side to bring the magic of our talent to bear in our profession and share our love for beauty with our beloved clients and friends. I am so hurt by the awful post from Jennifer Browne. Lettie is the most honest, dedicated, hard working, inspired, brilliant, and talented stylist I have ever worked with in my ten years as a professional cosmetologist. There is no one I would be more honored to call my friend. I trust her with my very life, and she is worthy of my trust and deepest respect. Posts like this, so vicious, slanderous, and undeserved, are so cruel. I know I speak for many in the beauty industry who give their all the way we do at Hair Safari, when I lament hurtful people like Ms Browne, who book our time,- our only commodity- and then, either don't even bother to show up, or as in this case, show up and treat our hard work, skills, years of training, talent and education, as if it is worth nothing, and walk out offended by our best effort to please them. If that is not bad enough, they then write posts like hers in an effort to do even more harm, threatening the livelihood of the six other people including myself who work at Hair Safari and depend on a good reputation for our income. For any of us to be accused of stealing because we bill for services rendered and forgive scheduled service time, ( in this case 3 hours of Letties' billable day was booked by Ms. Browne) lost to a clients walk out mid-service, a total loss for us, is something no other service industry would tolerate. It makes me want to hug our many loyal, wonderful clients close and thank them so much for making this cruel attack on our businesses the exception, for if it were not so none of us could bear the heart ache or the financial loss such behavior results in for us, of being in business at all!

I was there from arrival to departure 31 minutes, hardly halfway through your 3 hour allotted time. In the chair, maybe 10 minutes and that is generous. My Google maps has me time stamped and I can prove it. Leticia broke the law, lied to police, 2 of them and I am filing formal criminal theft charges. It is illegal to store a person's bank information without their written consent and charge them with no acknowledgement, permission and signature.

I went into Hair Safari with a general idea of what I wanted, the stylist had another suggestion that we tried and it was so much better than what I was expecting. I think I found my new hair salon.

Great place and friendly service. Best chance for a haircut and they take walkins. Everyone else in area is predominantly appt. only. The girl I went to was awesome. Friendly and Precise. Best haircut since I've been here in Williston without a doubt! By the way her name was Kim Slater.
